The customers at American Family Planning become fewer and fewer, yet they also become harder and harder. We pleaded and we prayed yesterday morning–apparently without making a dent in the consciences of those going it. Then, Tara stopped by, and she had with her her blue-eyed foster baby. Alicia took Kayle and held her in her arms right in front of the door: “Look at the baby! She asks for nothing, only to be loved. What is your child going to take from you? What is it that you can’t give your child? She only asks to be loved.” Two customers left within five minutes.
We were busy the rest of the morning and well into the afternoon–delivering groceries, diapers, a washer/dryer set, and even a window. We learned that one of the mothers whom we have been assisiting was stabbed during the week. The blade came near the heart–but, apparently, she is all right. Pray for our mothers. Pray for their children.
