A Guatemalan woman and her three children came to visit us at La Rosita this weekend. Her infant was rescued from AFP about a year ago. As she talked to Alicia, a revelation came to light: two weekends ago Alicia and Sandy had persuaded a Spanish speaking husband to go into the abortuary and bring his wife out. Before he finally went in, the conversation with the husband had gone on over an extended period, 45 minutes to an hour. We did not know that in that period he had called his sister and told her about the people outside the abortuary. She told him, “Yes, they will help you.” His sister was the Guatemalan woman.
In a related theme, on Saturday we visisted Lily, whom we have not seen for a year. She told us that her sister is now pregnant, and this week had even gone to AFP. The abortionist, though, has been absent nearly all week. Day after day, the mill has been taking appointments and then rescheduling them. So, God has given us another chance with Lily’s sister. Lily told us that she would carry our messages to her, and would try to get her to go with us for an ultrasound.
One day this week that the abortionist did show up was Friday. When he pulled up, I had a group of praying students assembled in front of the abortuary. He stayed 10-15 minutes, then left again.
