The abortion mills were closed the Thursday before and the Saturday after Christmas–thank God!  We didn’t take the week off, however; we went in on Wednesday, the 23rd.  About five clients came that day to the abortuary.  One group, an adult man and woman with a teenage girl, came in late and remained in the abortion mill only ten minutes or so.  The man, while walking back to his truck, suddenly turned on Chris, struck the material out of his hands, then punched him several times around the head.  Alicia, perhaps with the thought of phoning for help or photographing the attack, pulled out her phone–which was then seized by the woman.  They then climbed into the truck and sped out of the parking lot, still with the Guadalupe Partners’ phone.  It was a depressing experience, but as  I thought about it later it occurred to me that the baby might have been saved after all.  They will certainly never bring that teenage girl back to American Family Planning, a place where they can be identified and potentially have a complaint filed against them.

One thing for sure I have learned over the last few years: I never know what means God is going to use to save these babies.  For us, the importatnt thing is simply to be there–to keep going and going, and let God use us any way He chooses.

Last week we were able to take gifts to many children who otherwise would not have had gifts this year. Thank you all. And please keep praying for our work and for the mothers whom we serve.
