The aborrtuary was full on St. Valentine’s Day weekend. I think there were ten to twelve who came Friday, though several came only to pick up abortion information–and happily, most of them left with our envelope, too. Saturday, also, was busy, most of the women completely unresponsive. Two, however, did finally leave around 9:20. Very early they had taken our envelope into the car with them while waiting for the abortuary door to open. They carried nothing from the abortuary when they left; signs were good, then, that they had changed their minds.
Later in the day, after most of us had left, a Hispanic couple came for abortion information. Chris, though, was there, and he was able to reach Alicia on the phone. After she talked to them, they did leave.
Later Saturday I picked up a vehicle donation that will go to a mother living in Ecorse. It’s a very nice pick-up truck with an extended cab and I know she’s going to be happy with it.
All of us are doing little tasks to get ready for the Life Fair on March 1st. I am convinced that the culture of life has to be built on personal action. A true culture of life has to be built on Christ-like love, a love expressed individually, through our own hands.
