I am deveral days late in making this entry, but I guess God was having me hold off for a really good story. I noticed Alicia hovering outside the door of my classroom yesterday, so I knew something was brewing. Because I was in the midst of a religion lecture, I asked her daughter to go out and speak to her. Her daughter returned with a partial story; later in the day I got the full story: Alicia had learned that two sisters whose mother had died the month before were scheduled for abortions today. The younger sister is only 13. During the 10:00 A.M. break, I asked for a few volunteers to go to the chapel and pray for the sisters. All 19 of mys students went and they remained in the chapel for an hour. Then, this morning, with substitutes arranged for her classes, Alicia went to the abortion mill to talk to the sisters. Only one, the older one, showed up ( I would suppose there was no parental consent form for the younger). She came back out after about an hour with a curious report: the abortionist could not find the baby in the ultrasound. When she and her live baby left, she asked Guadalupe Partners to help her with her little sister.
