The open house last Sunday was beautiful. The house looked very good and the little girls of the house wore dresses and ribbons–and they were so happy. Bishop Flores was happy, too. He seemed to genuinely enjoy the children.
The mothers of the house were on their own this week. Alicia Wong and I have returned to full-time duties at the school–though we did manage to sneak out to be at the abortion mill Friday morning, as usual. The clinic staff, I am beginning to suspect, is encouraging the clients to lie to the people out on the sidewalk. There were a lot of stories told this weekend. I am not being judgmental or a cynic: a woman who tells us for example, that she is there to pay for a friend’s ultrasound nevertheless shows up promptly at 8:00 and is still there when we leave for the day. A Moslem man tells us thet Dr. Fleming assured him that abortion was justified for a woman who had already had 6 c-sections. I don’t think so.
I am sorry that after three weeks of silence this entry is so brief–but my computer keeps telling me that it is infected.
