Following up on the June 28 entry, we did sign the lease for the Ypsilanti house. May God bring us the funds we need to maintain it!
The abortion mill was closed this morning. But I still didn’t get home until 3:00. We began the morning with a little organizational meeting at a Big Boy near the abortuary. Then we met with Maria, who needed help with her rent this month. We then met up with Rosey, a mom turned away from the mill last week. She takes care of a lot of little ones, so we loaded her up with 6 packages of diapers, 2′s and 4′s. We then had a visit with a family who, like the family in Ypsilanti, thought we might make good use of their house. I told them we had already signed the lease on the Ypsilanti house, but that I knew of someone who wants to open a house in Detroit for unwed mothers. The house I saw today would be perfect for that use. It is an older home, but very large and completely updated–in perfect shape.
On Monday we took two women for ultrasounds. They are sisters whose mother died in her sleep four months ago. There are, altogether, four sisters, aged 18-22, living now completely on their own. They are overwhelmed with bills and questions about their mother’s legacy. They were, however, very happy about the ultrasounds, and I found someone, a financial advisor, who is willing to sit down with them and go over the paperwork left behind by their mother.
