Friday and Saturday were the busiest days I have seen all year. Our numbers, though, have been increasing too. A group pf seminarians came Friday–part of a new men’s order called Rosa Mystica. The number of people from the New Boston area is also increasing. While we thank God for the new recruits, we also have the responsibility of using them wisely, of making sure everyone understands each person’s role.
A third element has joined the mix at the abortion mill. Satanists. They stab effigy figures of unborn children, voice incantations, mock prolifers and blaspheme God. I am not too concerned about them. There is some danger that they will disrupt the focus of our presence there. The devil really would laugh if mothers headed for abortion slipped quietly in the front door while we were off contending with satanists. But as long as we keep focused, loving God through the mother and child, they cannot do any harm.
And yes, that is where our focus is, and yes, in the midst of all this busyness, we have been rescuing mothers and children from abortion. We have a heavy load of commitments to various moms. As I stated last week, we need to raise about $2,500 every month. We are very grateful for a friend of ours, Mrs. H., who has understood the nature of our work and who has, for the past year, given to us every month. She has no idea of how many rent payments she has helped with.
