Almost a month without hearing from us because of a computer glitch that I didn’t understand. Something about a “fatal error.” A friend has now mended our “fatal error” (which, logically, shouldn’t be mendable), and here we are.
The abortion mill, in the weeks following Christmas, has been busier than usual–which, unfortunately, we anticipated. Holiday seasons, with drinking and parties, bring abortions. There have been also some viciously cold mornings out there; our pro-life presence, however, has been consistent and strong. We momentarily despaired when we learned that our main counselor would no longer be able to go to the clinic Friday mornings, but her brave Friday assistant decided she would do it alone. So there she was Friday morning–and lo and behold, two other Guadalupe Partners, completely unexpectedly, showed up as well. God blessed their fidelity with a save that morning, and gave them another yesterday morning.
One of the moms we have been supporting for several months has a cousin who is pregnant, and was pressed by the cousin to help her get an abortion. After initial resistance, our mom gave in and took her to the abortion mill to make an appointment. Well, the poor woman got a pretty good scolding when we found out about it. In tears she repented and stayed with her cousin, in her apartment, the morning of the abortion appointment. To date the baby is alive and doing well.
