Guadalupe Partners would like to announce the births of Jacoby and Leonardo, both born within the past week. Leonardo’s mother hid her pregnancy, and he is now being presented to the world as the son of another woman. What strange, strange circumstances we enter in this work. Please, all of you, pray for these two little boys, and for every little child you see in our photo album.
One of our moms, one whom we have been with for almost–two years?–was beaten two days ago. The man began by hitting one of her daughters; she then intervened and took the beating herself. She did call the police, but fears the recriminations.
My family and I saw Bella last night, which I thought was splendid–and we have begun to see fruits of the movie. Another dad, influenced by his viewing of the film, has joined us out on the sidewalk. And one of my former students, now a senior at Gabriel Richard, intends to join us beginning next week.
The abortion mill was closed all last week, which gave us a chance to catch up with some of our follow-up work. Yesterday we looked for and secured a little apartment for A., who has been living in one room with her two children. We’ll be paying her rent for the next few months. Of course, we don’t have any money–but that has never stopped us before.
