Friday morning we visited a young mother whose phone number had been given to us by a man, Chris, who prays and preaches at the abortion mill every day that it is open. Two of the Guadalupe Partners had taken her for an ultrasound the week before. This was a follow-up visit. She is very young, a college student, and she is very scared. After viewing the ultrasound images, though, we are sure she will not again consider abortion. She had even made up a little photo album with the ultrasound images of her baby. She has a younger sister, seven months pregnant, whom we promised to help with a crib and other such items that she will need when the baby is born.
Saturday the Partners worked on various fix-it projects at a mobile home being prepared for a mother from Chicago. We put new flooring in the kitchen, painted, re-caulked and repaired in the bathroom, painted the front porch, repaired the front steps, planted flowers and grass seed. The U-Haul pulled up at 2:30 Monday morning, and A. was moved in by the end of that day. This is the same mother referred to at the close of the June 16 entry.
