The clients of the abortion clinic were cold and unresponsive this Friday and Saturday. Following our time at the clinic, we made various visits around the west side. To R. we gave assistance with a utility bill. To V. we delivered several furniture items and attempted to replace a shorted light switch in one of the bedrooms. To T. we delivered medicine. L. called us last week. We helped her through her last pregnancy. She is pregnant again. She has a court appearance soon regarding possible eviction for her apartment. She asked us for help with back rent payments. Y. also called to ask for help with groceries. Later this week we will be taking a couch to V., and on the weekend a washer and dryer. M.’s mother in Ecuador died. She asked for help with the funeral expenses.
